THREATS To HEALTH 2020
The World Islamic Health Union (WIHU), a non-governmental organization that brings together the non-governmental organizations operating in the field of health services and humanitarian aid in the Islamic world, was founded in 2016 in Istanbul by the participation of 110 NGO’s from 65 countries under the leadership of Health Association. The World Islamic Health Association's Science and Statistics Board has published 15 threats that it predicts will threaten health in 2020.
These threats are as follows:
1. Stress
2. Obesity
3. Loneliness
4. Sedentary Life
5. Resistance To Vaccination
6. Substance and Technology Addiction
7. Posture Disorders
8. Increased Antibiotic Resistance
9. Decrease In Nutritional Value In Foods
10. Exposure to Intense Magnetic Field
11. Air and Environmental Pollution
12. Aesthetic concern
13. Missing Health Literacy
14. Lack of Personal Hygiene
15. Ebola and Fatal Infectious Diseases
By minimizing these health threats, diseases will be reduced. As a result, the burden of hospitals, health personnel and the budget spent on health are expected to fall. If these threats are not reduced, the health of the Islamic community will deteriorate, resulting in severe labour losses and economic difficulties. Undoubtedly the formation of healthy communities will strengthen the Islamic World.
